Expressing the Sacred: Poetry and Prayer

Spiritual Awakening

In a world of nerves and doubt, I stand,
A timid soul with a trembling hand.
Across the room God’s presence gleams,
A radiant star in my wildest dreams.

His grace like diamonds, sparkle bright,
A captivating celestial light.
His love, a beacon warm and kind,
A treasure I long seek to find.

But fear a cruel and cunning foe,
Whispers doubt, and makes me slow.
What if my words stumble and fall?
What if He doesn’t care at all?

Yet deep within a fire burns,
A yearning heart that fiercely yearns.
To break-free from this self-made cage,
And unleash the courage of the lion’s rage.
